Alexander Albon could be disqualified from qualifying for the Dutch Grand Prix after the floor of his Williams was found foul of the regulations.

The 28-year-old set the eighth-fastest time in the grid-setting session at Zandvoort, his best of the season, but could be forced to start at the back, alongside his team-mate.

The FIA technical delegate at the Dutch Grand Prix confirmed that the floor body was "found to lie outside the regulatory volume mentioned in Article 3.5.1 a)" and that the matter was being referred to the stewards.

The Williams driver and a team representative has now been summoned and, if found guilty, it is likely Albon will be disqualified from the session.

It has already been a difficult weekend for Williams, with both its drivers incurring fines on Friday and Logan Sargeant's massive FP3 shunt preventing the American from taking part in qualifying altogether.
