Aston Martin confirm Hypercar project

Aston Martin will take to the forefront of sportscar racing as it confirms its Valkyrie entry.

Aston Martin has confirmed that it will contest the 2025 World Endurance Championship and WeatherTech SportsCar Championships with the Valkirye LMH project.

The British manufacturer expanded into F1 in 2021 after competing in WEC for several years in the GT categories.

However, now it will step into the highest level of sportscar racing by fielding a Hypercar, which will compete at the 24 Hours of Le Mans.

The Valkirye, which has a road-car version, was designed by Red Bull Chief Technical Officer Adrian Newey.

The project will be backed by Aston Martin’s championship-winning endurance racing partner Heart of Racing.

Lifeblood

“Performance is the lifeblood of everything that we do at Aston Martin, and motorsport is the ultimate expression of this pursuit of excellence,” said Lawrence Stroll, Chairman of Aston Martin.

“We have been present at Le Mans since the earliest days, and through those glorious endeavours we succeeded in winning Le Mans in 1959 and our class 19 times over the past 95 years.

“Now we return to the scene of those first triumphs aiming to write new history with a racing prototype inspired by the fastest production car Aston Martin has ever built.”
