Details of alleged WhatsApp conversations between Christian Horner and the woman it is understood filed a complaint against the Red Bull Team Principal and CEO have emerged via an anonymous email sent to numerous high-profile F1 individuals and members of the media.
The email, from a source describing themselves as 'Anonymous Reporter', contains 79 files, almost entirely of screenshots of chats that took place via the social media channel over what appears to be a period of several months. There are also a couple of images.
The email has emerged less than 24 hours after a "grievance" filed against Horner for 'inappropriate conduct' was dismissed following what was described in a statement from parent company Red Bull GmbH as a "fair, rigorous and impartial" investigation.
Horner returned to the F1 paddock on Thursday for the start of a new F1 season with the opening two practice sessions for the Bahrain Grand Prix.
Midway through FP2, however, the email dropped. It was sent to FIA president Mohammed Ben Sulayem, F1 CEO and president Stefano Domenicali, additional senior figures within both organisations, the other nine F1 team principals, and all permanent pass holders of the F1 media, including RacingNews365.
RacingNews365 is not at liberty to divulge the specific contents of the email, nor the details of the purported conversations between Horner and the woman concerned as their veracity at this stage cannot be determined.
RacingNews365 understands both F1 and the FIA are looking into the matter to ascertain if the images have been doctored. At this stage, neither organisation is making any public comment.
