Lando Norris failed to claim the F1 drivers' title in the Qatar Grand Prix after the Briton finished in fourth at the Lusail International Circuit.
Max Verstappen secured a vital victory to move into second in the championship, with him now being just 12 points behind Norris.
Oscar Piastri finished second in Qatar after starting on pole and will enter the Abu Dhabi season finale 16 points adrift of his McLaren team-mate.
It will be a three-way title fight in the final race of 2025, taking place next weekend at the Yas Marina Circuit.
