A fire at the Termas de Rio Hond0 circuit has broken out during the night, causing widespread damage to the complex. It reportedly started in the VIP area before spreading to the press room and TV broadcast booths. Firefighters from all over the region were called in such was the extent of the inferno, and it appears that the paddock area that houses the motorsport museum has been spared for the time being.
The MotoGP Grand Prix of Argentina was originally scheduled to be held on April 8, but has already been postponed due to the coronavirus. It is unknown whether there were any injuries at this time.
