Ferrari Team Principal Frederic Vasseur has played down suggestions that Red Bull will run away with the 2024 Formula 1 title.
Red Bull opened the season in strong fashion last weekend at the Bahrain Grand Prix by securing a 1-2 finish.
Max Verstappen led teammate Sergio Perez across the line by over 22 seconds in another dominant display for the three-time World Champion.
Ferrari managed to get onto the podium with Carlos Sainz in third place, while teammate Charles Leclerc was fourth despite battling brake issues throughout the race.
However, Red Bull was unable to be challenged during the weekend, prompting suggestions that the sport is in for another commanding year for the Milton Keynes-based squad.

Vasseur optimistic
However, Vasseur has cooled speculation that Red Bull will streak into the distance for both titles.
“We have 24 races,” the Frenchman told media including RacingNews365.
“If you compare last year, the last third of the season we did five pole positions out of the last seven [sic] races or something like this.
“Between that, it's a very long season. You have room for development.
“[During qualifying] we were able to fight for the pole but that the [tyre] degradation in Bahrain is always huge for everybody.
“It means that we'll have other occasions to start from pole and also occasions to win races.
“We will keep this approach, we will continue to push. Everybody in the team is over-motivated.
“I'm quite pleased with the step that we did compared to 12 months ago and I will continue to push.”
