McLaren drivers under investigation after shock Canadian GP clash

McLaren face a nervy wait following the Canadian Grand Prix, with both drivers off to the stewards.

Both Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri have been placed under investigation, following the duo's shock clash in the closing stages of the Canadian Grand Prix.

The pair collided along the start/finish straight with Norris having found himself in the wall, causing significant damage which led to an immediate retirement.

Norris had excellent pace in the final laps and caught his team-mate in a battle for fourth, before diving down the inside at the tight hairpin.

It triggered a drag race along the back straight; however, Piastri emerged from the final chicane still ahead.

In an attempt to get past, Norris tried to sweep around the outside of the Australian, although ended up making contact with his team-mate. It sent him into the wall, triggering heavy damage and an instant retirement.
