The Formula 1 drivers taking part in Friday's afternoon session at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya had a chance to try out Pirelli's Wet and Intermediate tyre range, thanks to some forward planning from the sport. With no rain falling over the three-day test, special tankers went around the circuit during the one-hour lunch break to spray copious amounts of water on the tarmac. This was to force the teams to spend time on Pirelli's wet-weather compounds in the afternoon.
