Ferrari is yet to fully identify the cause of the brake problems that affected Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz in the Bahrain Grand Prix.

Leclerc continually locked up in the early stages of the first race of the season and fell from second on the grid, with a temperature difference of around 100 degrees Celsius between the left and right brake discs.

Both Ferrari and brake supplier Brembo are confident that the situation was an anomaly with RacingNews365 technical analyst Paolo Filisetti believing the root cause of the problems could even be in the design of the cooling ducts.

Despite the troubles in Bahrain, Senior Performance Engineer Jock Clear is confident that the team will not be affected in this weekend's Saudi Arabian GP - even if further investigation into the cause is still required.

"We are investigating, obviously we've only had a week between [races] and not even a week, only a couple of days in reality, and the factory is a long way away," Clear told media including RacingNews365.

"We're starting to do it, we've done as much of an investigation as we can - and we're pretty much on top of it, with the help of Brembo.

"We've come [to Saudi Arabia] and we don't have any particular issues here, so I think we put that to bed.

"But to be honest, we're not completely on top of the problem, we haven't completely identified the problem.

"But we are confident that coming here, we've made some changes that will mean it won't be a problem."
