Ferrari and Aston Martin have finally resolved the high profile transfer of Enrico Cardile, who is set to join the Silverstone-based outfit as its new chief technical officer.
It was reported earlier this year that Ferrari was blocking Cardile from starting work at Aston Martin, insisting he fulfils a full 12 months of gardening leave.
Aston Martin team principal Andy Cowell earlier confirmed that Cardile will oversee architecture, design and structure of the team's F1 cars once he arrives, working closely with Adrian Newey.
As suggested by Italian publication Corriere dello Sport, the delay in Cardile's arrival has led to frustration for Aston Martin team owner Lawrence Stroll.
It was understood that mediation had been agreed between the two teams, but that it was broken for unclear reasons, resulting in lawyers from both sides working together.
However, a resolution between the parties has been found, with Cardile now able to work for Aston Martin in its preparations for the new power unit regulations next season.
An Aston Martin spokesperson stated: "We are pleased that a resolution has been found and that Enrico can move forward with the team as we look to 2026 and beyond as our Chief Technical Officer, leading our design and technical functions at the AMR Technology Campus."
