The F1 constructors championship will run to the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix after Ferrari out-scored McLaren in Qatar.
McLaren looked to be on course to place itself in a comfortable position for the final race of the season before Lando Norris was issued a 10-second stop/go penalty for failing to slow under a double yellow flag.
Stake also got its first points of the year on the board with Zhou Guanyu's run to eighth place.
Meanwhile, Leclerc has massively closed the gap to Norris for the runner-up spot in the drivers' championship.
