McLaren clinched a second-consecutive F1 constructors' championship at the Marina Bay Street Circuit after Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri finished the Singapore Grand Prix in third and fourth position.

Their 27 points were over double the 13 the Woking-based squad needed to take the crown — it was the first time the papaya team took successive titles since 1991, ending a 34-year wait.

In the drivers' championship standings, Norris' jump from fifth on the grid to third by the chequered flag helped cut team-mate Piastri's advantage to 22 points with six rounds — including three sprints — remaining.

Max Verstappen made further inroads with second place, as he continues his improbable recovery against the two McLaren drivers ahead of him.

George Russell's victory, twinned with Kimi Antonelli's fifth place, further strengthened Mercedes' grip on the runner-up spot in the constructors' fight.
