Oscar Piastri has eaten into Lando Norris' championship lead after taking victory at the sprint race from Qatar.

The gap between the two McLaren drivers now sits at 22 points in favour of Norris ahead of Sunday's grand prix.

Max Verstappen has lost further ground to Norris in the standings and is now 25 points down on the McLaren driver with two grands prix remaining.

Mercedes took another step towards sealing second in the constructors' standings with George Russell and Kimi Antonelli finishing second and sixth respectively.

Ferrari failed to score in the race, with Lewis Hamilton enduring a miserable result in 17th place.
