Following an intense opening hour of practice, Ferrari's Carlos Sainz topped FP1 ahead of recently crowned champion Max Verstappen.

Tyres will be the main talking point during second practice, with this session being used as an official test session for Pirelli.

Nevertheless, returning drivers Charles Leclerc, Daniel Ricciardo, Valtteri Bottas, Nicholas Latifi and Kevin Magnussen will all be hoping to maximise their track time after handing their cars over for FP1.
