Charles Leclerc was quickest in second practice for the United States Grand Prix in a session dominated by Pirelli tyre testing.
As Leclerc missed FP1 to allow rookie Robert Shwartzman an F1 outing, he was permitted to run Soft tyres in the first 30 minutes of the extended 90-minute session.
He popped in a 1m:36.810 before he also participated in the development tyre testing.
Valtteri Bottas, Daniel Ricciardo, FP1-topper Carlos Sainz and Mick Schumacher rounded out the top five.
