Max Verstappen led the way as the showdown for this year's F1 world title began at Abu Dhabi's modified Yas Marina Circuit on Friday.
Verstappen posted a best time of 1:25.009 to finish a couple of tenths clear of Valtteri Bottas, with championship rival Lewis Hamilton a tenth further back in third.
