Lewis Hamilton caught swearing at Franco Colapinto in previously-unseen footage

Lewis Hamilton stuck his middle finger up at Franco Colapinto as he passed the Alpine driver towards the end of the first lap at the Miami Grand Prix.

Although not broadcast at the time, the Ferrari driver was seemingly unhappy with their robust wheel-to-wheel action, which left his SF-25 damaged and without 15-20 points of downforce, hence the obscene gesture.

Heading into Turn 11, which is one of the three main overtaking places at the Miami International Autodrome, Hamilton was overtaking Colapinto around the outside. However, the latter fought against it, and contact was made between the pair.

That significantly hindered the seven-time F1 drivers' champion's afternoon in Florida, contributing to a lack of pace over the 57-lap race.

Hamilton ultimately finished seventh on the road, but was promoted to sixth following team-mate Charles Leclerc's 20-second time penalty. 

That was just ahead of the Colapinto, who enjoyed the best result of his F1 career on a strong weekend in the Sunshine State.

The 22-year-old outperformed Pierre Gasly across the round and added six points to Alpine's haul for the campaign, elevating Team Enstone to fifth in the constructors' standings.

It also means the French squad is now on 23 points after four rounds, one more point than it managed across the entire 2025 season.
