Mick Schumacher has secured his IndyCar future, with the German set to join Meyer Shank Racing for the 2027 season after completing his debut campaign with Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing.
Schumacher will drive the #66 entry for Meyer Shank Racing, alongside Marcus Armstrong, who moves over to the #60 car, as the team reduces from three entries to two.
The move represents the latest chapter in a varied career for the 27-year-old, who has competed across Formula 1, the World Endurance Championship and, in 2026, IndyCar.
Schumacher arrived in the American single-seater series with RLL after spending two seasons racing in the WEC with Alpine.
His endurance programme followed a spell as Mercedes' Formula 1 reserve driver, a role he took up after losing his Haas seat at the end of 2022.
Before reaching F1, Schumacher established himself as one of the leading talents in junior single-seater racing. Having finished runner-up in both the ADAC and Italian Formula 4 championships in 2016, he won the FIA Formula 3 European Championship with Prema in 2018 before adding the FIA Formula 2 title in 2020.
His F1 opportunity arrived with Haas in 2021, where he spent two seasons. Schumacher scored his first points at the 2022 British Grand Prix before recording a career-best sixth place in Austria, but was replaced by Nico Hulkenberg for 2023.
Schumacher subsequently joined Mercedes as a reserve driver, while also carrying out reserve duties for McLaren, before returning to full-time competition with Alpine's WEC operation in 2024. He claimed three podium finishes across his two seasons with the French manufacturer.
After making his IndyCar debut with RLL in 2026, Schumacher will now embark on his second season in the series with his new team, having achieved his first top-10 result in Nashville earlier this year.
