Verstappen Racing has delivered a short statement on social media following his disqualification from the NLS2 race on Saturday around the Nordschleife.
Verstappen, along with team-mates Dani Jucadella and Jules Gounon, were stripped of their victory several hours after the race came to a close.
The four-time champion drove the opening and closing stints to take his second NLS race victory.
However, it was soon found that the #3 entry had broken the rules by using seven sets of tyres, rather than six, during qualifying.
As a result, it was thrown out of the classification. Verstappen Racing, who operated the entry into the race, took to social media to address the situation.
“Tough outcome, but we keep moving,” read a short statement.
“A lot to take from the weekend and plenty to look forward to.”
The words come after Mercedes issued a statement of its own in which it highlighted its disappointment with the outcome.
Verstappen is due to race in the 24 Hours of Nurburgring in May, but has hinted that he could be back at the famous Nordschleife track next month for NLS3.
