Although Lewis Hamilton spun out early on Saturday morning, Mercedes had a better Saturday compared to Sunday as Valtteri Bottas finished atop the timing sheet on day two on the soft C5 tyre.
It doesn't mean the day wasn't without problems for the German manufacturer, though they ended the day ahead of AlphaTauri man Pierre Gasly and Aston Martin's Lance Stroll. All three men registered their times with the same compound of tyres.
Lewis Hamilton only managed the 15th fastest time of the day, though he took part in the morning session when track conditions made for slower lap times.
However its tough to look past Sebastian Vettel when it comes to who had the worst day. The Aston Martin man only completed 10 laps as gearbox issues hampered his Saturday.
