Lewis Hamilton has expressed his "anger" at the latest horror to befall him at Ferrari with a third straight Q1 exit.
The Briton crashed at Turn 9 during Free Practice 3 to head into qualifying on the back foot, where he was eliminated in 16th place, just behind Yuki Tsunoda by 0.009s.
It is the third straight grand prix qualifying Hamilton has been eliminated in Q1 after Las Vegas and Qatar, and the fourth overall, including Sprint qualifying in Qatar.
It is the first time since the 2009 Monaco-Turkish-British GPs that Hamilton has suffered three straight Q1 exits, in the season Hamilton had previously branded a "nightmare."
The grid spot means Hamilton is likely to lose his record of scoring a grand prix podium in every season of his career as his long wait goes on.
Reflecting on the latest failure, Hamilton cut a despondent figure.
"I don't have the words to express how I feel, just a lot of anger," he replied when asked by RacingNews365 for his feelings at yet another early exit."
"[The crash] definitely doesn't help when you miss your second run, but the car was feeling great, I just had some bottoming and then lost the back end.
"It's never helpful when have less running, for sure, but everyone's in the same boat.
After this, Hamilton's session turned into an exchange of questions and brief answers, which have been presented in transcript form below.
