The Silverstone Circuit has announced the formation of the George Russell grandstand from the 2027 British Grand Prix.
The new stand, dubbed the "GRandstand," will be located at Farm Curve, the fast left-hander linking Abbey to Village in the opening section of the lap.
Russell follows in the footsteps of compatriot Lando Norris, whose "Landostand" at Stowe Corner proved impossible to miss during this year's race weekend.
The Norris stand was expanded significantly for 2026 after its initial introduction, with its capacity doubled to meet demand.
Russell's addition means two of Britain's leading Formula 1 stars will now have dedicated grandstands at the home of British motorsport.
Russell has taken seven grand prix victories and 11 pole positions across his career, and he sits second in the 2026 standings after a strong campaign in the W17.
His best result at Silverstone came at this year's British Grand Prix, where he claimed second behind Charles Leclerc for his first home podium in F1.
Russell's roots in British motorsport run deep; as a product of the domestic karting scene, he won the 2017 GP3 Series and the 2018 Formula 2 championship before his graduation to the grid with Williams in 2019.
