Lewis Hamilton has outlined the "huge effect" on everyone connected with Ferrari at the end of what has been a season to forget.
Ferrari has endured a challenging F1 campaign, with zero wins to its name, leaving it fourth in the constructors' championship.
Team principal Fred Vasseur revealed early this week that he made a call to abandon aero development of the SF-25 at the end of April when he realised the Scuderia would not be contending for the title following McLaren's dominant start.
Vasseur conceded that he underestimated the hardship of the “tough call”, and the psychological impact it would have, as the outfit has been subjected to difficult results for much of the year and, as a consequence, considerable media criticism.
While Charles Leclerc has secured a handful of podiums, Hamilton is yet to finish in the top three in his maiden campaign for Ferrari.
When asked by RacingNews365 if he has felt the impact that Vasseur spoke about, Hamilton replied: “It's my first year with them, so I haven't noticed it.
"The results, for all the mechanics, all the engineers that turn up every weekend, for everyone back at the factory, it's hard for them.
"They're turning up and giving their best, but I don't think that's aero-related. It's just what we've been faced with this year.”
As the sport's most historic and successful team, Ferrari is often held to a higher standard when it comes to on-track results.
Having not enjoyed title success for 17 years, Hamilton outlined the media scrutiny that affects Ferrari employees.
"And also the negativity that's constantly within the media and everything like that, that affects them,” he said.
“They get home to their wives and their wives say, 'They've been saying this about the people where you work' and I'm sure that's tough for them, and then the kids and all those things.
“So there's a huge effect on lots of people."
