Lando Norris has explained how he will manage the season-ending triple header, as he looks to secure his first F1 drivers' championship.
The McLaren driver sits 24 points ahead of Oscar Piastri — and 49 points in front of Max Verstappen — in the standings, with only the rounds in Las Vegas, Qatar, which is also a sprint weekend, and the campaign finale in Abu Dhabi left to go.
That leaves him well poised, given that only a further 83 points are available. Although there is still considerable work to be done, Norris can now afford to finish second to his team-mate in the remaining races and still clinch the crown.
However, the final leg of the year is a challenging one for the entire F1 paddock, including the drivers, and Norris needs to be as well prepared for the demands ahead.
Having been worn down by the first 21 weekends of the gruelling 24-round schedule, the shift from Sin City to Qatar is 11 hours, the biggest time zone jump on the F1 calendar.
Illness and exhaustion are commonplace at this stage of the season, something not aided by having three events in three weeks.
When asked about how he will prepare for the most crucial point in his F1 career, and how he keeps his energy up down the stretch, Norris cast a light on those around him.
"I just have a good team of people who tell me what to do," the 11-time grand prix winner told media, including RacingNews365. "Simple as that, really."
The Briton detailed how regimented his life will be over the period, with his inner circle, who he claims know him better than he does, controlling his schedule.
"I have very good trainers, a good group of people around me that, in some ways, know me better than I know myself, so know how many days off I should have; when I need to work more, when I need to work less; when I need to sleep more, sleep less — whatever it may be," he added.
"Yeah, so my personal team is probably the key sooner to it all."
