George Russell is facing a second stewards' investigation at the Australian Grand Prix after failing to follow the race director's instructions.
The Briton was called for a practice start infringement during the second free practice session.
Article 14.1 of the race director's notes details that practice starts “may only be carried out on the asphalt on the right-hand side of the fast lane at the pit exit, using one of the grid boxes”.
It is not yet clear where Russell positioned himself to carry out the start, but it has caught the attention of the stewards.
The investigation adds to his summons fora pit lane collision with Arvid Lindblad at the start of FP2.
Russell attempted to move into the fast lane but found his front wing being trodden on by the Racing Bulls rookie.
