F1 pre-season testing finished with Charles Leclerc on top of the timesheets at the end of the final day.

Whilst there is little that can be taken from pure lap times, the data charts do make for interesting reading when making predictions for the early races in the season.

So how did each team and driver fare? Take a look at a breakdown for each below! [Results as per F1 timing]

Red Bull

Red Bull's domination over the sport last season has not stopped the design team from changing its philosophy over the winter, with plenty of developments visible on the new RB20.

Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez were near the top of the timesheets throughout the week and had a very good reliability record, keeping Red Bull favourite heading into the season opener.

Fastest lap time Total laps completed
Max Verstappen 1:30.755 208
Sergio Perez 1:30.679 182

Mercedes

Mercedes' radically changed W15 took time to get used to on track but, once Lewis Hamilton and George Russell got to grips with the new machinery, along with the engineers, it was clear to see a step forward had been made.

Just where will the Silver Arrows end up come qualifying next Friday?

Lewis Hamilton 1:31.066 172
George Russell 1:30.368 188

Ferrari

A stunning test for Ferrari saw both Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz finish at the top of the timesheets on a day each - the latter setting the fastest time over the entire three days.

Could the SF-24 be on pole next week?

Carlos Sainz 1:29.921 224

McLaren

The difference between testing this year and last has been night and day for McLaren.

There were none of the issues experienced 12 months ago and, if the three days of running is anything to go by, there is no reason to believe Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri will fall from the podium battle.

McLaren F1 pre-season testing results

Fastest lap time Total laps completed
Lando Norris 1:31.256 144
Oscar Piastri 1:31.030 183
Team 1:31.030 327

Aston Martin

Nothing stands out from Aston Martin's test other than it was a solid display from both Fernando Alonso and Lance Stroll's perspectives.

The best times look representative of fighting with the rest of the top five teams, but whether the Silverstone-based outfit can breach back into podium contention is another question.

Lance Stroll 1:32.029 195

Alpine

Much like Aston Martin, Alpine's three days were largely unspectacular.

That may be a positive given the French manufacturer's reliability issues in recent years. If those are a thing of the past, a step can definitely be made towards the front.

Alpine F1 pre-season testing results

Fastest lap time Total laps completed
Pierre Gasly 1:32.159 140
Esteban Ocon 1:32.061 193
Team 1:32.061 333

Williams

Alex Albon and Logan Sargeant will both be happy to have recovered from a few gremlins on the opening day of the test to post plenty of laps.

The former's best lap time, in particular, puts the team right in the midfield mix.

Williams F1 pre-season testing results

Fastest lap time Total laps completed
Alex Albon 1:30.984 161
Logan Sargeant 1:32.578 138
Team 1:30.984 229

RB

Could RB be the surprise package of the year?

If test times are anything to go by, the outfit will not be far away. Daniel Ricciardo will have benefitted from plenty of testing time ahead of his first full year back in the cockpit, whilst Yuki Tsunoda has been putting his winter training regime to good use!

Yuki Tsunoda 1:30.775 157

Stake F1

A bold new identity for the team meant the new car was definitely visible on track and a late glory run from Zhou Guanyu put Stake F1 near the top of the standings on the final day.

But a sustained top-10 push looks unlikely for now, though the changes to the car opens up development potential across the year.

Fastest lap time Total laps completed
Valtteri Bottas 1:32.227 193
Zhou Guanyu 1:30.647 185
Team 1:30.647 378

Haas

Haas has already underlined the fact it will be at the back of the grid in the opening rounds of the championship after a choppy winter but there certainly wasn't anything to frown upon during testing.

Running was straightforward and if issues with the rear of the car from last year have been solved, then at least Kevin Magnussen and Nico Hulkenberg can battle those around them.

Fastest lap time Total laps completed
Kevin Magnussen 1:33.053 233
Nico Hulkenberg 1:31.686 202
Team 1:31.686 435

So who performed the best?

If the timesheets told the truth at the end of testing, then Carlos Sainz and Ferrari would be favourites for success when the season gets underway at the same venue next weekend.

Whilst it is worth pointing out that tyre choice, track conditions, power settings and fuel loads all have a say in final times, take a look below for a full, collated results table from the three days of running.
