For the third year in a row, the Autodromo Internazionale Enzo e Dino Ferrari - often shortened to Imola after the town where it is located - will play host to the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix in 2022.

At the previous race in 2021, Lewis Hamilton claimed pole position, but was overtaken at the first corner by Max Verstappen. The Red Bull driver went on to win the Grand Prix, which at one stage was red-flagged following a collision between George Russell and Valtteri Bottas.
