Charles Leclerc will start the United States Grand Prix from pole position after a thrilling qualifying session at the Circuit of the Americas.
The Ferrari driver finished 0.130secs faster than McLaren's Lando Norris having set a benchmark of a 1:34.723.
Mercedes driver Lewis Hamilton was third fastest, just 0.009s down on fellow Briton Norris and just under a tenth faster than the second Ferrari of Carlos Sainz.
Max Verstappen had set the fastest time but was stripped of his lap after exceeding track limits at Turn 19 and will start sixth, behind the second Mercedes of George Russell.
Pierre Gasly led the Alpine duo in seventh and eighth, Sergio Perez secured ninth and Oscar Piastri 10th.
