Yuki Tsunoda is set to start the Singapore Grand Prix from 15th place on the grid after a poor qualifying showing at the Marina Bay Circuit.
After escaping the Q1 drop zone, Tsunoda entered the second segment hoping to execute a lap time that would bring him into the top 10 shootout.
However, his effort only placed him slowest out of the 15 drivers that took part in Q2.
Tsunoda managed to partake in Q3 at the last two rounds in Italy and Azerbaijan, respectively.
Last time out in Baku, he enjoyed his best race of the season with a run to sixth place.
With Singapore's track being notoriously difficult to overtake around, Tsunoda is facing an uphill battle on Sunday to score points as he fights for his F1 future.
