The Williams F1 team has been summoned to the stewards at Silverstone over an alleged infringement.
Carlos Sainz ended the British Grand Prix in 12th place and was the only Williams driver to make it to the chequered flag.
Team-mate Alex Albon was forced to retire from the race late on while the field circled around behind the safety car.
On the penultimate lap of the race, the lapped cars in the field were instructed that they could move ahead of the leading contenders and the safety car to rejoin at the back of the field.
However, Williams has caught the attention of the stewards after it noted that Sainz appeared to do so before it was officially instructed.
The official summons from the FIA noted an alleged breach of “Article B5.13.4c of the FIA F1 Regulations – unlapping behind the Safety Car when not entitled to do so.”
