Callum Voisin has been confirmed as Andretti Formula E's official development driver, stepping into the role ahead of the 2026/27 ABB FIA Formula E world championship season.
The British-Swiss driver's appointment follows his outing with the American squad at the official rookie test in Madrid earlier this year.
He will now become a key part of Andretti's simulator programme and race preparation, supporting Jake Dennis and Felipe Drugovich as the series moves into its Gen4 era.
Much of that work will happen away from the track. Voisin will work closely with Andretti's engineers to build understanding ahead of each race weekend, with his simulator duties set to prove valuable as the team adapts to a new generation of Formula E machinery.
Voisin arrives on the back of a standout season in Porsche Carrera Cup GB, where he sealed the 2026 title with Rosland Gold by Century Motorsport with two races to spare, finishing the campaign with nine victories.
That form adds to a racing background spanning single-seaters, sports cars and endurance racing. Having won the 2023 GB3 Championship with Rodin Carlin, Voisin progressed to Formula 3, where he claimed a feature race win from pole position at Spa-Francorchamps in 2024.
He has also combined his British Porsche campaign with appearances in Porsche Carrera Cup Italia, and competed in the Asian Le Mans Series with High Class Racing.
For Voisin, the role offers a chance to deepen his relationship with Andretti after a brief introduction earlier this year.
"I'm really pleased to be joining Andretti Formula E as official development driver," said Voisin.
"Working with the team at the rookie test gave me a great introduction to how everyone operates, so it's exciting to be building on that relationship. There's a lot to learn with Gen4 and I'm looking forward to supporting the team prepare for each race."

Voisin's first taste of Formula E machinery came at the 2025 official rookie test in Berlin with Cupra Kiro, where he finished fifth overall, before joining Andretti for the 2026 rookie test at Circuito del Jarama in Madrid in March.
Team principal Campbell Hobson, who took up the role earlier this year as Roger Griffiths moved into an advisory position, views the appointment as a way to strengthen the team's preparation while continuing Voisin's development.
"We're pleased to welcome Callum into a more permanent role with Andretti Formula E," said Hobson.
"His work in the simulator will be an important part of our race preparation, supporting our engineers and both drivers as we build our understanding of Gen4.
"Having already worked together at the rookie test earlier this year, there's a foundation to build on and his success across different categories demonstrates his ability to adapt to new challenges."
