Which teams completed the most laps on the second day of testing in Bahrain?

AlphaTauri set the standard in terms of mileage on the second day of testing in Bahrain, as Yuki Tsunoda put in 120 laps in total over the course of the eight hours of track time.

With sheer lap count being a primary goal of pre-season testing as teams strive for mileage to better understand their new cars, AlphaTauri added to the 103 laps put in by Pierre Gasly on the first day, keeping the team close to the top for the test overall.

Aston Martin managed 116 laps on Friday, split between Sebastian Vettel in the morning and Lance Stroll in the afternoon.

Mercedes and Ferrari both put in 114 laps each, split between their race drivers over the course of the day – both teams also very close to the top of the overall mileage charts for the Bahrain test.

It's Alpine which top that table, with Esteban Ocon putting in 111 laps on Friday to add to Fernando Alonso's Thursday tally.

Alpine, Mercedes, Aston Martin and Ferrari are each on 230+ laps for the test, with Red Bull and AlphaTauri each on 220+.

At the opposite end of the table, Williams could only manage 12 laps on Friday as Nicholas Latifi encountered a technical issue that ruled their car out of action for the remainder of the day.

But it's Haas and McLaren which have struggled for mileage on both days, as Lando Norris continued to battle brake issues on his MCL36 that meant McLaren only managed to add 60 laps to their Thursday total.

Haas, while not appearing to suffer any specific issues, also only logged 84 laps on Friday, split between Mick Schumacher and the returning Kevin Magnussen – 16 of Magnussen's laps coming in the extra hour of track time granted to the team in light of their freight issues travelling to Bahrain.

Tsunoda puts in the miles

In terms of the individual lap charts, Tsunoda added to AlphaTauri's high mileage on Thursday. With Gasly logging 147 laps on the first day, Tsunoda set the standard with 120 tours of the Bahrain circuit on Friday.

Ocon was up next, with 111 laps completed over the course of the day.

Unsurprisingly, as another driver to tackle the full day, Max Verstappen was next as the Red Bull man put in 86 laps in total.

Having had numerous issues throughout the day, Norris could only achieve 60 laps in total for McLaren despite his full day's responsibility, while Latifi's technical issue meant he could only put in 12 laps.

Out of the drivers tackling half days, Stroll put in the work in the afternoon to complete over a race distance, as did Mercedes' George Russell.

Those with the lowest lap counts were the two Haas drivers, including the returning Magnussen, the two Alfa Romeo drivers, as well as Mercedes' Lewis Hamilton.
