2026 F1 Mexican Grand Prix - Mexico City weather forecast
Teams arriving at the Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez this week can expect largely settled conditions across the Mexico City Grand Prix weekend, with only a brief rain threat on Friday afternoon.
Friday's opening practice session is forecast to bring temperatures of 21°C to 23°C, sunny intervals and a gentle northerly breeze, giving drivers a relatively comfortable first look at the high-altitude circuit.
Conditions are expected to warm slightly for FP2, with the mercury rising to 26°C, though a higher chance of rainfall is forecast compared with the rest of the weekend. Showers are considered unlikely to actually materialise, however, with the session expected to stay dry.
Saturday's build-up to qualifying looks cooler and calmer. FP3 is expected to see temperatures drop back to 20°C to 21°C, under sunny skies with a gentle northerly wind similar to Friday morning.
Qualifying itself is forecast to be a touch warmer at 25°C, still under sunny conditions, though with stronger wind than in final practice, albeit still within gentle limits.
Sunday's race is expected to take place in 24°C sunny conditions, with no rain in the forecast.
That should offer some reassurance to teams managing the unique demands of the 2,200-metre-plus altitude venue, where thinner air already reduces downforce and increases strain on cooling systems and turbochargers regardless of ambient temperature.
With Pirelli having nominated its softest three compounds, the C3, C4 and C5, for the round, stable and dry conditions throughout the weekend should allow teams to focus purely on managing degradation and graining rather than variable grip from changing weather.
