Although many places around the world are covered in snow at the moment, it isn't one of the first things you associate with Formula 1. However it doesn't mean cars haven't tested their limits in wintery weather before.
It isn't everyday that a Formula 1 car can be found travelling on snow, but Max Verstappen was surprised by his employers in 2016 and handed a rare opportunity to drive his Red Bull in snow.
With the help of a helicopter, the Dutchman was allowed to hit the ski slopes of Kitzbuhel. Helped by snow chains around his tires in front of hundreds of interested fans, you can't argue that the images are stunning.
