Franco Colapinto made a huge mistake in the Azerbaijan Grand Prix, which wiped out himself, team-mate Pierre Gasly and reigning world champion Lando Norris! It split opinions in the F1 paddock after the race, as this RacingNews365 explainer video goes over.
Norris demanded a race ban for the Alpine driver, while George Russell and Max Verstappen both defended Colapinto and insisted that a one-race suspension was far too harsh for the incident. As for Flavio Briatore, he hinted at in-house action!
Unfortunately, Norris' comments resulted in him becoming the latest F1 victim of online abuse, while others also received hateful comments. It triggered another statement from Alpine, calling for an end to online abuse in F1.
