As Max Verstappen continues his march through the F1 record books, there is one record he can match during this weekend's Dutch Grand Prix, and equal three F1 greats if he does.
Ever since the Dutch GP returned to Zandvoort in 2021, Verstappen has won all three editions of his home race and is gunning for a fourth straight win as the season resumes from the summer break.
He currently enjoys a 78-point lead over Lando Norris in the drivers', equating to three grands prix worth of points including the fastest lap bonus point.
It means that if Verstappen fails to score in the next three races and Norris hauls all 78 points up for grabs, the two would be level going into the Singapore Grand Prix, although Verstappen would be ahead on countback by dint of more wins.
He will be seeking his eighth grand prix win of the season at Zandvoort, and if he gets it, he will equal three world champions with 14 titles and 149 wins between them in winning his home grand prix four years on the trot, as the table below shows.
Consecutive wins in home grand prix
