Red Bull and Ford have confirmed their launch plans for the 2026 campaign, which commences a new era for the sport.
The Milton Keynes-based squad will show off its new livery for the season on January 15th at an event in the United States, as will sister team Racing Bulls.
The colour schemes will be unveiled in Detroit, Michigan, the home of its new engine partner Ford, ahead of the behind-closed-doors test in Barcelona at the end of January.
For the all-new technical regulations, Red Bull is building its own in-house power unit for the first time, under the Red Bull Powertrains moniker, with US car giant Ford providing technical support to the project.
As well as the changes to the chassis, the power units are undergoing their biggest change since the turbo hybrids were introduced in 2024.
The MGU-H is being removed entirely, whilst the power from the batteries is set to be increased threefold from the current 120kw to 350kw, with the hope being that cars will now be able to use just 70kg of fuel instead of the current 110kg.
Such is the scale of the challenge, Red Bull announced in early 2023 that it would join forces with Ford, hence the decision to launch in the United States to mark the Blue Oval's return to F1 for the first time since pulling the plug on the Jaguar project - to Red Bull - at the end of the 2004 season.
The identity of the two drivers for Red Bull remains unknown at the time of writing, with only Max Verstappen confirmed, with Yuki Tsunoda hoping to keep his seat and fend off rookie Isack Hadjar, who has impressed for Racing Bulls.
