Video: Rally driver sent rolling down slope after flipping over in huge crash

11-times Italian Rally Champion Paolo Andreucci had a lucky escape after his car flipped over and careered down a slope at a tight bend during the 28th Rally Adriatico.

The opening day of the 28th Rally Adriatico got off to an eventful start over the weekend after 11-times Italian Rally Champion Paolo Andreucci was involved in a huge accident that saw his car flip over and barrel down a slope.

As Andreucci and co-driver Francesco Pinelli were approaching a tight bend in the course, the vehicle went off balance and dramatically flipped before hitting an embankment.

This caused the car to career over again before rolling down a slope.

Fortunately both Andreucci and Pinelli were unharmed, but the car was not in such a good condition after the incident. Andreucci admitted that he now has a lot of work to do to catch his rivals in the opening round of the 2021 Italian Rally Championship.
