Racing Bulls team principal Alan Permane has stated the team is facing a “nice problem” as it weighs up its driver line-up for 2027.

The Red Bull sister squad employed Liam Lawson and Arvid Lindblad this year, both of whom have impressed.

With the team fielding a competitive car, both drivers have been regular finishers in the points, lifting the outfit to fifth in the standings as things stand.

But as it weighs up its options for 2027, Permane insisted it is taking its time before making a decision.

“It's a bit early for us, we traditionally wait a little bit longer,” Permane told media including RacingNews365

“We're under no pressure to announce what we're doing yet next year.”

Tsolov 'features in our thoughts' - Racing Bulls

Despite their performances, there is no guarantee Lawson and Lindblad will remain team-mates next year due to the junior waiting in the wings.

Nikola Tsolov currently leads the F2 drivers' championship in his rookie year and has put himself in contention for a seat on the F1 grid next year and is an option that the team is seriously considering.

“Nikola, of course, features in our thoughts and he's having an incredible season,” Permane said.

“First season in F2, leading the championship. So he's got everything going for him.

“Having said that, I've got two fantastic drivers in Liam and Arvid as well. So it's a nice problem to have.”
