Can anyone stop Max Verstappen as he seeks a fifth straight Formula 1 pole position later today at the British Grand Prix?
The World Champion has been in imperious form in recent races, winning the last five on the trot, but there were signs of encouragement with Ferrari nipping at his heels in the second practice session, through Carlos Sainz.
Charles Leclerc was fastest in a largely unrepresentative final practice that saw rain fall before qualifying simulations could take place, and with the wet weather cleaning the circuit, anything can happen across the next hour.
In the end, it was Verstappen who grabbed pole as Lando Norris starred with second on the grid for McLaren with Oscar Piastri third.
