The World Champion has been in imperious form in recent races, winning the last five on the trot, but there were signs of encouragement with Ferrari nipping at his heels in the second practice session, through Carlos Sainz.
But what about Mercedes? Mick Schumacher was burning the midnight oil in the simulator at Brackley to try and help Lewis Hamilton and George Russell after a poor Friday - can they get back in the hunt and will Williams live up to their Friday pace?
