Nearly 40 years after Formula 1 first tried to conquer Las Vegas from the car park of Caesars Palace, the Las Vegas Grand Prix weekend is finally set to get underway.
The Strip has been transformed into a race-track as the 1,100th World Championship F1 race roars into life.
It is a circuit of unknowns, but we will get our first clues at who might be strong and weak with 60 minutes of Free Practice 1.
However, 10 minutes into the session, Carlos Sainz stopped on the Strip, with it becoming clear that he had hit a loose drain cover, with Esteban Ocon also losing a chassis.
