It has been reported that Red Bull motorsport advisor Helmut Marko will leave the Milton Keynes-based outfit at the end of the year.
Following the season-ending Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, Marko confirmed that he would soon make a decision on his future.
However, according to The Telegraph, the 82-year-old will leave at the end of 2025. It has also been reported by BILD, that Red Bull CEO Oliver Mintzlaff was betting on next year marking a fresh start for the organisation.
Marko said himself at the Yas Marina Circuit that his future was a decision he would "make myself", although an exit would mark the second major Red Bull departure this year.
After the British Grand Prix, Christian Horner was axed as the squad's team principal and CEO, with Laurent Mekies having been chosen as his replacement.
Should Marko depart, it would be a significant blow to Max Verstappen. Marko and Verstappen hold an incredibly close bond, to the extent that the Dutchman previously stated that if the Austrian left, he would follow.
That was said last year when Marko's position was in jeopardy during a period of power struggle within the team.
