Max Verstappen slots into third place next to 'frenemy' George Russell, with Lewis Hamilton a lowly eighth for Ferrari.
Elsewhere, Liam Lawson and Kimi Antonelli were both dumped in Q1 as Yuki Tsunoda grabbed an astonishing fifth.
