2027 F1 pre-season testing dates
F1 has confirmed the dates for its sole pre-season test in 2027 ahead of a record-breaking schedule.
The new 2027 calendar was unveiled on Wednesday featuring 24 races and a record 10 Sprints, including in the Bahrain opener, the Abu Dhabi finale, and most eye-catchingly of all, at the Monaco Grand Prix in June.
The season of grands prix is scheduled to run between March 14th and December 12th, but first, pre-season testing must take place.
2027 F1 pre-season testing dates
The sole four-day pre-season test in 2027 is scheduled to take place between February 24th and 27th at the Sakhir International Circuit.
Testing has usually been held at the circuit since moving from Barcelona, with Bahrain offering teams stable conditions in which to put their new cars through their paces, unlike the uncertainty of the middle of the European winter, with snow falling on occasion in Spain.
It means teams will come from the Milan season launch between February 18th and 20th before heading to Sakhir, which will also host the season-opener on March 14th, with it being one of the 10 Sprint events.
However, there is the possibility of testing and the first race, being moved away from Bahrain, owing to the uncertainties in the Middle East as the Iran War continues.
F1 CEO and president Stefano Domenicali has previously stated that a decision on whether the 2027 season can start in Bahrain is required to be taken by the end of the 2026 calendar year.
