The 2027 F1 season will feature a record number of 10 Sprint races after the new schedule was formally unveiled.
10 Sprints marks a rise from six in 2026, with the season-opener in Bahrain and season-finale in Abu Dhabi both featuring the format, as, eye-catchingly, does the Monaco Grand Prix.
With the 10 Sprints, a total of 80 championship points are on offer for the winning driver, over three grands prix worth of wins, meaning the Sprints will play an even more important role in deciding the 2027 world champion.
Crucially, three of the final four races will be Sprints, with Brazil, Qatar, and Abu Dhabi all running to the double-race format.
