Carlos Sainz converted his first F1 pole position into his first F1 victory in an action-packed British Grand Prix at Silverstone.
While long-time leader Charles Leclerc stayed out on used Hards amid a late Safety Car period, Sainz and several other drivers made the switch to Softs, setting up a thrilling restart.
Sainz duly pounced on his Ferrari teammate to move into the lead, with a huge scrap developing behind for the remaining podium positions.
Sergio Perez grabbed second for Red Bull, with Lewis Hamilton a spirited third in his Mercedes – much to the delight of the home crowd.
Max Verstappen - who led early on - had to settle for seventh, behind Leclerc, Fernando Alonso and Lando Norris, after picking up car damage.
Mick Schumacher finally claimed his first F1 points with an eighth-place finish.
