2026 F1 Mexico City Grand Prix - Qualifying results
Lewis Hamilton secured a brilliant pole position for the Mexico City Grand Prix, becoming the oldest pole-sitter since Mario Andretti in 1982.
The Briton secured pole with his final flying lap, with George Russell securing second on the grid ahead of Charles Leclerc in third.
Max Verstappen qualified in fourth but was on for a strong final lap, only to be impeded by McLaren's Lando Norris. However, due to a one-place grid penalty, Kimi Antonelli will start from fourth with Verstappen in fifth.
It was a disastrous session for McLaren's Oscar Piastri who was eliminated in Q2, after managing to go only 13th quickest.
