Lewis Hamilton topped Canadian Grand Prix Second Practice as Mercedes clinched a one-two.
Track evolution was the name of the game at the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve during the extended FP2 session, with Mercedes' qualifying simulation programme meaning the seven-time World Champion and teammate George Russell logged their efforts later than rivals.
Carlos Sainz finished third for Ferrari, ahead of Aston Martin's Fernando Alonso and Charles Leclerc.
Red Bull finished sixth and eighth with Max Verstappen faster than Sergio Perez, with Valtteri Bottas sandwiched between for Alfa Romeo.
Lance Stroll was ninth and Pierre Gasly 10th for Aston Martin and Alpine respectively.
