Zak Brown has announced he is to drive the very chassis Fernando Alonso won the 2007 Monaco Grand Prix in at Monza later this year.
The MP4-22 #1 machine was used by Alonso to win in the Principality, the race which ignited the bitter team rivalry with a rookie Lewis Hamilton, who finished second.
McLaren dominated the weekend in Monte Carlo, and Hamilton was eager to try and push Alonso for the win, but was firmly warned against doing so, and told to keep station behind his team leader.
When then-boss Ron Dennis informed Alonso of the instruction post-race, Alonso took the news the wrong way, believing Dennis's intentions were not to protect the one-two and slow Hamilton down, but were a slight against him.
And so began the extraordinary series of events, which culminated in the infamous Hungarian Grand Prix qualifying incident where Alonso blocked Hamilton after the Briton had ignored a team order.
This led to the spiral of Spygate being re-opened, and McLaren eventually copping a $100 million fine for possessing Ferrari technical data. It is the largest fine in sports history as McLaren was also chucked out of the constructors' championship, it otherwise would have handsomely won from Ferrari.
Oh, and by the way, that day in Monaco, Kimi Raikkonen picked up one point for finishing eighth after crashing in qualifying. He would win the world championship by one point from Hamilton and Alonso...
